Nearshore software development for US companies

A senior team in Honduras, working your business hours, in English. We build web platforms, marketplaces, mobile apps and internal systems with a fixed price in writing, weekly demos and source code that is yours from day one. Fifteen years building systems for banking, energy, healthcare, government and humanitarian organizations.

Why us

Nearshore without the usual three headaches

Outsourcing development usually fails for the same three reasons: language, hours and the feeling that nobody owns the result. This is how we solve each one.

Language

English, with the people who build

Meetings, documents, code comments and support are in English, directly with the engineers on your project. No account manager translating between your business and the people writing the code. If your market or your team is bilingual, we work in Spanish too.

  • You talk to the people who build.
  • Bilingual products (English and Spanish) are part of our daily work.
Hours

Your business day is our business day

Honduras runs on UTC-6 all year round. Our working day (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Tegucigalpa) sits inside yours: same hours as Chicago and Houston from November to March, one hour apart the rest of the year. Progress calls, reviews and unblocking happen the same day.

  • No waiting overnight for an answer.
  • Channel and response times agreed in writing.
Accountability

We finish what we start

Our central commitment since 2011 is to deliver 100% of the projects we accept. That is why we say no when a project does not fit, instead of accepting it and abandoning it halfway.

  • Scope and price closed in writing.
  • You get the source code.
Time zones

The math: 8 shared hours with Central Time, 7 with Eastern

We are not going to tell you we are next door. We are going to show you exactly how the hours line up, so you decide with numbers.

Honduras is on UTC-6 and does not change its clocks. US Central Time is UTC-6 from November to March and UTC-5 the rest of the year; Eastern Time is one hour ahead of that.

In practice: from November to March our clocks are identical to Chicago, Dallas and Houston, and one hour behind New York, Miami and Tampa. From March to November we are one hour behind Central and two behind Eastern.

With our working day running 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Tegucigalpa and yours 9 to 5, that leaves eight shared hours with Central Time all year, seven to eight with Eastern, seven to eight with Mountain and six to seven with Pacific. When a project needs it, we shift our day to widen the window.

Daily overlap window Our 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Honduras covers your full business day on Central Time and almost all of it on Eastern, Monday to Friday.
Progress calls Delivery reviews Same-day unblocking Live demos Sessions with your technical team

For anything urgent outside that window we agree the channel and the response time in writing before we start. We prefer to commit to what we can keep.

  • Banking: Ficohsa.
  • Energy and fuel stations: Puma Energy.
  • Public sector: digital government platforms in production for Honduran government agencies.
  • Humanitarian: SISTAH, for the Honduran Red Cross, with an iOS and Android app.

How we work

We work the way your project needs

Every client arrives with a different situation: an idea that needs a full team, a product that already exists and has to grow, or a technical team that is short on senior hands. How we work together is defined with you, in writing, before we start.

Project

Your project, start to finish

You define the problem; we design, build and hand you a working product, with your team trained.

  • Scope and schedule in writing.
  • Visible deliveries at every stage.
Partnership

A team that stays

We build your platform and stay by your side: we run it, maintain it and improve it at the pace of your business.

  • Priority for whatever you need next.
  • No one has to relearn your system.
Your team

Inside your team

Our engineers embedded in your process, using your tools and reporting to your technical lead.

  • They join your team's rituals and standups.
  • Scale up or down with your roadmap.

Scope, schedule and payment terms are agreed in writing before we start, and we will gladly walk you through them on the discovery call. You pay for working software, with the price agreed up front. In every case, the code, the database and the intellectual property are yours.

How we start

Everything in writing before the first line of code.

  4. Step 04

    Build

Visible deliveries and a progress demo every week, in your hours.

  5. Step 05

    Handover and support

Production release, training for your team, source code in your hands, and support for as long as you need it.

Frequently asked questions

What US companies ask us

Straight answers, including the uncomfortable ones about distance and hours.

What is nearshore software development, and why Honduras?

Nearshore development means handing the build of your software over to a team in a nearby country that works in your business hours, instead of offshoring to the opposite side of the clock.

Hiring from Honduras gives you three concrete things:

  • English with the people who build, no intermediaries, and Spanish when you need it.
  • A real shared business day: Honduras is on UTC-6 all year, the same as US Central Time from November to March.
  • Central American cost structure with senior engineers, which is the reason nearshore exists.
How do the hours work between the United States and Honduras?

Honduras is on UTC-6 and does not observe daylight saving. From November to March our clocks are identical to Chicago, Dallas and Houston, and one hour behind New York, Miami and Tampa; from March to November we are one hour behind Central and two behind Eastern.

With our day running 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Tegucigalpa, that is eight shared hours with Central Time all year, seven to eight with Eastern and six to seven with Pacific.

For anything urgent outside that window we agree the channel and the response time in writing before we start.

How do we sign and pay from the United States?

Geedgo is a Honduran company and a subsidiary of BCG Technology, Inc. (United States). Contracting and invoicing details are agreed with you before signing, in US dollars, and your attorney can review anything that needs it.

Payment terms depend on how we work together and are put in writing before we start; we will walk you through them on the discovery call. You pay for working software, with the price agreed up front.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the scope, and quoting before understanding the project would be guessing. The process is simple: you write to us, we hold a free discovery call in your business hours, and you receive a proposal with closed scope, schedule and price in writing.

If it fits, we sign and start; if not, you keep the analysis and owe us nothing.

How we work and how you pay adapt to your case; we propose it in writing after the call.

Who owns the code and the intellectual property?

You do. Source code, database, domain and IP are delivered to you: it has been part of our turnkey approach since 2011, not a negotiable extra.

You can audit it, continue it with your own team or take it to another provider whenever you want. We would rather you stay because the service is worth it, not because you cannot leave.

What experience do you have with demanding sectors?

Since 2011 we have been building and maintaining systems for organizations where a failure is noticed: banking (Ficohsa), energy and fuel stations (Puma Energy), the public sector (digital government platforms in production for Honduran government agencies), humanitarian work (SISTAH, the talent and volunteer system of the Honduran Red Cross, with an iOS and Android app) and healthcare (IOmed and a telemedicine platform with AI support).

We also run our own product: IOplat, our ERP, is in production every day in industrial, retail, healthcare and education companies. We do not just deliver software: we keep it alive for years, which is where the quality of an architecture really shows.

Can you build bilingual products for the US Hispanic market?

Yes. Our team works in English and Spanish every day, so a bilingual platform, app or marketplace is built and tested by people who actually speak both languages, not translated at the end.

We also work directly with Spanish-speaking owners and teams in the United States in their own language.
